Motivational Power Quote

Don't Cross Your Bridges Until You Come to Them

"The bridges that you cross

before you come to them

are over rivers that aren't there."

Gene Brown, author, writer

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Don't cross your bridges until you come to them

When we focus on crossing the bridge before we come to it we are focusing on things that are a figment of our imagination and are not real. Our energy will be squander on things that may never be. We will misuse our time worrying over things that may never happen instead of investing our time in things that can have a positive influence in our life.

Being concerned about crossing a bridge before we come to it creates unneeded stress and anxiety on something that may never come to be.

Focus on the things that are important in your life and your energy and time will be used in an effective manner.

Stay focused on the things at hand not on things that may never be.

Great quote Lou.  When my wife used to worry about the kids, money or whatever I would tell her to worry me up a $20 bill.  Guess that would have to be a $100 bill these days.

Lou,

Best to be focused on the moment. We worry too much about things that never happen.

Very wise words...thanks for the post. It is so true that we often 'react' to things that are nonexistent. Life happens not, not in the past or the future.

Lou,

I like this. It's great advice to help us keep things in perspective. :)

Reminds me of something my father used to tell me... "a coward dies a thousand deaths, a hero, but one"
