Listing Appointments: What Do You Do When The Client Has Animals?!

Better back off: Mike in Tucson

One of "my agents" (lenders always think of referral partners as theirs) was complaining to me about a dog backing him up against the fence on a listing appointment.  Sissy!  THIS is something you might want to worry about.  :)  The sign said "open range" just before I turned off the road onto the long winding driveway.

Sissy Lalas! HAHAHA!

I don't know if you were ever a CA resident but in LA there was a car dealership that had funny commercials in the 60s and 70s - Cal Worthington and his dog Spot - which started off as a dog and as the years went on, became a tiger, a dinosaur . . . this reminded me of that. :)

Definitely not something I want to run into.  Last year on my way to an appointment I was sidetracked by a runaway cow.  LOL

LOL! I was expecting this blog to be somewhat serious based on the title, but that is FUNNY, assuming the animal didn't injure you, of course:) Certainly something we do NOT have to worry about in this area.

Oh my, that would send me back peddaling in reverse out the gate!  It seems recently there was a news story about a bison that attacked a car and injured the wife.

Had a client ask me if "Open Range" meant he couldn't put up a fence...

I told him, "No, it means if you don't want cattle on your property, you have to put one up."

"What if cattle get in after I put up a fence?" he then asked.

The reply was easy, but he didn't like it too much:  "Well, it means your fence wasn't good enough."

Thanks for sharing, Mike!
