Texas Childrens Hospital in Houston, Tx was Amazing!
We had to have an emergency surgery this past week and all I can say is how impressed I am with every doctor, nurse and staff member at Texas Childrens Hospital!
Here is how much he enjoyed the hospital:
Thank you soooo much for all the kind messages this week for Max (and me) and his eye surgery!
Here he is just 3 months ago:
His eye is still seeing double, does not move up & down or side to side. This will probably require at least one more surgery to correct his eye.
Here is what happened:
Please keep Max in your prayers today ...
He went to Dallas last Friday with his dad and while jumping back and forth on the beds landed with one foot on the ground and the other on the bed with his face landing in his knee. He got really sick and was just laying there throwing up on himself not moving. They went to the emergency room (they didn't think it was necessary to x-ray) and they said he had a concussion, go to bed and take tylenol .. you will be better in 3-4 days. I got him on Sunday night and knew immediately he was in bad shape, he still had a fever, naseau, double vision and slept all day. Yesterday I took him to pediatrician and he said take him to hospital for CT scan. They scanned him and said he is not going home, we are putting him on morphine and ambulance to TX Childrens for surgery. His orbital bone is fractured and the eye muscle and nerves are pinched in the fracture.
Gives a whole new meaning to "no more monkeys jumping on the bed".
Thank you for your prayers!
