Well, here we are again in mid-summer in Houston.  It's hot.  If you don't like the weather just wait a couple of hours and it will change.  Maybe you'll like it better.  After all, it might rain!  That would be better wouldn't it?  Well, maybe not. But anyway Houston has lots of things you can do indoors.  We've got tons of shopping malls, museums, movies, sports venues.... you name it we've got it.  If we don't have it you don't really need it.

Then if you are the out doorsy type we've got lots of lakes around us, Galveston is about an hour south, National forest is to the north.  Bike, run, hunt, fish, antiquing (thnk Old Town Spring, Tomball, Montgomery).  You name it.

And of course there are the day trips... go west and there's a premium outlet mall and of course Brenham and the Blue Bell creamery... YUM!  Northwest and you can tour scenic Anderson TX.  Way further west and you can go over to the Capitol in Austin or to the Alamo in San Antonio.

Hey, Ralph!  It's a bit warm here as well and my granddaughters have begged and cajoled their parents into taking them to The Ice House for an afternoon of ice skating -- smart girls (they must take after me?)! LOL  Have a great day!

Well at least it's cool out on the ice! Just remember to stay upright on the blades! And be sure to have fun!
