What are the Top Ten Things to do in Chesapeake Beach MD the rest of the Summer 2010? Boy is this easy. I've had a Chesapeake Beach zip code since childhood, so off the top of my head, my top ten favorites are:
1. Visit the Chesapeake Beach Water Park which is open daily through August 22 then Weekends through Labor Day. Grandparents get in FREE on Tuesday with paid admission for a child. Hours are 11AM to 7PM. Swim Lessons are available. For more information, call 410-257-1404 or visit www.chesapeakebeachwaterpark.com for more details.
2. Stroll down the rarely publicized and not that easy to locate Chesapeake Beach Boardwalk. You may park at Bayfront Park which is located at the edge of the town. Keep up a good pace so you can join RE/MAX 100 and Friends on Saturday Sept 18 from 7:30 to 10AM for their Annual Komen Boardwalkathon. All proceeds from the $25.00 entry fee are donated to Komen.
3. Check out the Breakfast Buffet at Rod n Reel and make plans to come back because you will not be able to resist. Homemade waffles, homemade donuts, fruit bar, and Southern cooking at its VERY best.
4. Stroll in to Abners Crabhouse for some of the best crabs, fries, and crab dip to be found.
5. Make plans to stay late for Flicks on the Field July 30 and August 30. It is reminiscent of the old drive in movies which used to be located in Prince Frederick, MD. 6. Slide in Rolands if you need to pick up any picnic supplies. Our local food mart has just about everything you would need.
7. Visit the Veterans Park overlooking the Chesapeake Bay.
8. Visit Tylers Seafood for Steamed Shrimp to go. Their website is www.tylerstackle.com.
9. Take a minute to glide through the adjacent town of North Beach. It's way cool, too.
