We had the pleasure of going to the Farmer's Market at the Factory on Saturday. The crowd was great!  I was glad to see so many people out supporting the local produce, meat and flower sellers.  I did see quite a bit of produce still available for 10 am.  I am sure they would love to have even bigger crowds.  The most popular booth was selling flowers.  On lady said she waited for nearly an hour for these amazingly beautiful flower bouquets.  I am including some photos of the beautiful flowers below.

Our corn on the cob did leave a bit to be desired.  I think we might open a husk or 2 before buying next time.  They also have jewelry and home baked bread.  The Frisky Berry Coffee shop is selling coffee and there is even live music.  One seller has tie dye shirts and aprons.  Several landscapers have yard plants and flowers.  There are ranchers who sell grass fed beef and mutton.  Lots of organic and natural food sellers come too.

It is a good time to come out and see what is  happening at the Franklin Farmer's Market.  They are there every Saturday morning at the back of the Factory.  It is open also on Tuesday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:30.

The website for the Farmers Market is www.franklinfarmersmarket.com.  Come out for a great time with nice people, good food, colors everywhere, and great people watching!

Monica:  I love farmer's markets. I believe if we all begin shopping more at farmers markets we can A) be healthier and B) take some of the transports off the highways.  Buying local is alway great to support our own communities.  The produce is always much better because it is vine ripened too.

It is fun to see different farmer's markets in different cities.  A little bit the same and a little bit different.

Hello Monica,

We have friends who stop by this Farmer's Market in Franklin often and they love it.  This is just another reason why Franklin and Middle Tennessee are great places to live, work and play.  But they also agree to open those corn husks just a little before buying!

Thank you,

Richard Acree
