Just went through my first Home Inspection last Monday with my fiancee.  The unit is in the Colony at Peninsula in Hawaii Kai. and should be big enough for at least 1.5 children.  The home inspector was very professional and presented his findings in detail. However the existing renters have successfully trashed the place in less than one year. Almost every wall has been patched up, kitchen cabinet doors are missing (?), closet doors are missing, shower tile is cracked, and the carpet is stained and worn out. Keep in mind that the unit is less than a year old. Basically the tenant has been a nightmare for the owner and the neighbors. My agents, Michael and Patti Koyama did a great job of creating a summary of the inspection and a response with the additional requests. We are awaiting a response from the sellers agent. Hopefully the owner realizes that the condition of the unit is very poor and agrees to clean the place up. We are only a few months away from the wedding, so it would be nice to have a place to move into to beside my tiny one-bedroom in Chinatown.
