My Active Rain Blog

By
Real Estate Agent with Crye-Leike Realtors

I just wanted to write and let Active Rain know that I am greatly appreciative of their FREE advertising and information!  What a wonderful tool!  I can blog and instantly see results in my searchability in Google.  I have my blog connected to my website and am honestly, truely grateful.  It's not often you come across such a valuable tool and don't have to pay for it.

Those of you who are getting your business going, make sure you become a blogger.  People find you here.  Buyers and Sellers want to know what you are thinking.  It is important that they see you as an active agent.  Participating in blogging not only gives you better placement, but even offers validity to you as an agent.  You have something to say.  You ARE knowledgeable, and the public needs you!

The market is EVER changing.  Don't be fooled that people aren't buying or selling homes today.  I was asked last week at a listing why I was "the best" agent.  I've never been asked that before.  My answer, and the truth, is that I'm not the "best" agent.  I'm one of the best.  You won't find better, you certainly will find worse, but there are other wonderful agents out there.  I get to be a part of them selling my listings too!

Those of you that are my equals and enjoy making the world of real estate a great place, thank you.  Those of you that are aspiring and just getting into the business...BLOG!  It will make you a better agent!

God Bless,

Jason

Wow, Jason! I love your attitude. The majority of us here in my area all work together and we love to sell each other's homes. We say that 1/2 of something is better than nothing! We do have a handfull of new folks in the real estate market around here that do not necessarily agree with this. But you will have those wherever you go. Networking is great. And AR is one of the best tools that I have ever encountered. Have a great week!

I'm glad to hear you say that people find you here. It's important in that I can see that while you aren't a prolific blogger, you say it matters...so it must be your profile that is pulling in the business. Good for you!

Vickie, thanks for your note.  As for the number of times I've blogged here, it's a new endevor that I am already seeing results from.

Nicole, those newbies will figure it out or have to get another career!  We have to stick together in this.  Did you know that Over 36% of people find their home through their realtors, and another 36% find it through realtor provided internet resources?  (info taken from Realtor.com)  Without broker co-op we would all be doomed!  Not showing someone's listings is like a hate crime.  Hate breeds hate...not showing my listings means...well, you get the idea.

Michael, thanks for the comment!  I'm coming back for more and more!  Super tool.

Once again, great job ActiveRain!

Dear Jason,

You can say you are the best, especially if your competition isn't using ActiveRain like you are. You show your rankings to potential home sellers and say "look who's visible online" and "where is everyone else". You will separate yourself and be the best. Be confident. Toot your own horn. When you have the proof, the rest is easy.
