Northern Virginia Market Watch-Another Month of Local Statistics To Digest from MRIS

Every month the Metropolitan Regional Information System (MRIS) in conjunction with their subsidiary company RealEstate Market Intelligence produce a monthly market statistics video. The video reports cover 8 different regions including Northern Virginia.

This report contains good news. For June 2010 the average sales price for homes in Fairfax County VA was up up 20.46% to an average sales price of $408,879 versus June 2009 average sales price of $339,442.

In Prince William County VA the June 2010 average sales price was up 24.86% to an average sales price of $291,371 versus June 2009 average sales price of $233,350.

Cal-our inventory has remained relatively low in the first half of this year. It hasn't been unusual to end up in bidding wars or with multiple offers on properties.
