Whenever we get a chance to stop at Timberline Lodge on our way to Bend or beyond, we treat ourselves to a bit of refreshment or a beautiful lunch and visit the special art work all around.
The wood carvings at the lodge are spectacular. This little beaver sits on top of the stair post. There is a special creature everywhere you look: a squirrel, an owl or other special bird something special for each stairway throughout the building. I'm sure that the lines were very sharp originally but over the years they have become smooth and well loved. It's worth a visit!
