Raw Nature of Florida

"Raw Nature of Florida"

I did a post the other day about some land our owner is selling a little south of the World Golf Village. It is 1100+ acres of undeveloped land with 4 miles of waterfront on Lake Crescent.

I had the pleasure of going to take pictures for him for a website they are creating to promote the property.

I just joined two of the photography groups and wanted to show what was one of my favorite pictures from the trip to have as my first post on the two new groups.

This land and especially this picture made me feel like I had gone back in time. I may have this blown up and framed.

Hi Ted,

That is a fascinating shot!  I've never seen anything like it here in CA.

Bruce, thanks for the compliment. That tree was about 30' or so from the right side of the dock out in the lake.

Jim wants me to go back in the early evening and take shots of the Alligators and Cottonmouths.

I'm excited.

Ted...not only is that primeval it is PRIME Beautiful--what a shot...Yes do enlarge that. Hang in a prominent place. I bet viewers will be searching for the critters seen and unseen during the daytime hours. I'd even expect to see some alien [as in outer space] life.  Looking forward to our FL trip and decision time for us.
Have a great week.

Barb, great hearing from you.

Can I sell you some Swamp Land? Make you the deal of a life time. It's actually gorgeous pristine land except for some low areas around the water.

The only problem is if Sal put out any real Pink Flamingos the Florida Black Bears, Florida Panthers, and Alligators may want them more. This property has all three.

The solution is to buy the entire 1100 acres and build a home in the middle. Then put up signs 200' in radius around the home that say "No wildlife past this sign". Then you would be safe.

Ted - I was in your beautiful state for the first time, in February!  I especially remember the "raw nature" along highway 75 in Aligator Alley, that had aligators lined up for what seemed an eternity.  I also remember the unsurpassed beauty in the Florida Keys.

I might add, if Ponce De Leon was looking for the Fountain of Youth in Florida, with the amount of aligators in the everglades, he might have been afraid to step into it.

Rich, Thanks for the compliment.

John, I had not thought of that. You are right.

Myrl, I wouldn't go walking around the Everglades without a guide.

Tony, thanks.

What an awesome picture. I can't decide whether it's Stephen King or J.R.R. Tolkien.
