There is no question that living a fairly healthy life style as a Realtor is important - it is just not a 'to be' or 'not to be' question...I like to think I am a realtor who consciously thinks green in my day to day living. To know me a little is to understand it. Once having owned and operated an organic small farm in Kingston, RI had some bearing on my culture of life style even before the realty profession came to be with me.
MY kids knew- don't do a laundry or run the dishwasher unless it's a full load, harvest as much as you can from the garden, put the rain barrels out in spring to catch the water, recycle everything from plastic to vegetable scraps, etc. Yes, even the bugs and pesky black ants learned that boron powder was not a pleasant pick me up for them but it was better for my family's life and our environment. Avoiding chemicals has been our little gift to the environment.
So this video piqued my senses & trust me... because you will pick up some handy green tips to use in your job, share with clients and use around your own home. Clients like to learn great non-toxic tips for the home all the time! So BE a Realtor who thinks GREEN! It's not a question anymore to be or not to be... if you are looking for Green homes and builders in RI, talk to me and tap into my network of professional Green builders.

Pretty cool information, certainly much better for the household.
Thank you
Wow Ginny! Lots of great ideas! My daughter now washes her hair with only baking soda and vinegar. It's amazing how many uses these products have.
Thanks for the post!
Barabara, thanks for checking it out & your thought for the day!
Scott...we all need to be a wee bit more green...
Michele...now that's great info to pass along & maybe i'll try it when i don't have an appointment!! doesn't the vinegar smell linger a bit??
Ginny,
I think that it's wonderful that more and more agents are helping home buyers in seeing the value of staying green. It's a fairly new concept, but extremely important. Many buyers have questions and the desire to be more green, they just need some guidance.
Jennifer...i agree & i think because we are all more conscious regarding it we will incorporate it into our profession too...thanks
Ginny....Super ideas! We all have to do our part to live greener.
Thanks Carra...it's baby steps that turns into leaps...they all add up.
