Welcome to Arizona! Take a moment to discover all of the wonderful places to live and what they have to offer!

Christopher Creek/Kohl's Ranch- Cozily nestled under the Mogollon Rim in North Central AZ at 5,900 feet elevation, the beautiful horizon of Christopher/Kohl's scans the rolling mountains and the vast expanses of meadows. Located 22 miles to the east of Payson. Come and live a simple, pure country life in the heart of these beautiful towns. Hear the wind whispering through the high mountain forest, the lullaby of rushing waters carrying fish through pristine mountain streams, and the beckoning call of a bugling Rocky Mountain Elk. Among the world's largest stand of Ponderosa Pine Trees, the pure, crisp mountain air smells sweetly of fresh pine. Any pastime can find its welcome here, whether fishing, hunting, hiking, horseback riding, cross country skiing, or meditating. Enjoy the countless wonders and beauty of this place.

Deer Creek/Mesa Del/Oxbow/Round Valley- These towns are similar to Payson and Star Valley, with a more rural location. The estimated population between them all is approximately 1,000. They are rural areas that are incorporated into Payson's population estimate.

Forest Lakes- Covers approximately 1.89 square miles with a population of 266 people and an elevation of 7,546 feet. The temperature ranges from the twenties to seventies, and there is sure to be a lot of snow on the ground in wintertime. Hiking, sledding, skiing, hunting, fishing, and camping are just a few of the many activities one can participate in while living/visiting here.

Gisela/Rye- Located just to the south of Payson at an elevation of 2,881 feet, Gisela covers a total area of 2.9 square miles and has a population of 532. Rye is a tiny town bordering to the north of Gisela. It takes about three minutes to drive the length of the town of Rye. They have similar attributes to Deer Creek, Mesa Del, Oxbow, and Lower Round Valley.

Happy Jack- An elevation of 7,500 feet and a population of around 700. The summer high temperatures are usually between 70-80 degrees. Because of the cool temperatures, Happy Jack is a great place for a summer getaway to escape the intense heat of Phoenix or Yuma. One of the boasting attributes is the startlingly crisp and clear night sky. So beauteous that it captured the interest of the Lowell Observatory, and a 4.3meter Discover Channel Telescope is being built here. Come and see for yourself the extravagant beauty of this town.

Heber/Overgaard- Heber and Overgaard are in Northeast Arizona in Navajo County. Located in the heart of the beautiful Sitgreaves National Forest north of the Mogollon Rim. Heber's elevation is 6,435 feet and Overgaard's elevation reaches 6,620 feet. Their population combines to a total of 2,722 and they cover an area of 6.9 square miles of land.

Payson- A beautiful town with a population of 15,257 and an elevation of 4,921 feet. The town has a total area of 19.5 square miles. Pine/Strawberry- These two wonderful towns are located twenty miles north of Payson. Pine holds a population of 1,931, and Strawberry a population of 1,028. Star Valley- Located just a couple miles east of Payson lies the small town of Star Valley, which was incorporated in 2005. The population of the town is 1,999, and it covers an area of 6.4 square miles of land, 0.04 of which is water. The elevation is 5,150 feet. Quaint and rural, Star Valley is a great place to live if you want the joys of the outdoors mixed with the convenience of being close to a more urban town (Payson) where you can drive five-ten minutes to get to the grocery store or movie theatre.

Young- One school, two roads, three hours from any other town. With a population of 561, this small town expands over 42.0 square miles of land. The elevation is 5,178 feet. There is only one school which serves grades K-12, although it is not uncommon to have zero students in a given graduating year. The two main roads in and out of Young are SR 260 from the North and SR 188 from the south. The roads are unpaved, but graded regularly. If you are looking for peace and solace, then, almost quite literally, take the one lane road to a two horse town and enjoy the extremely rural atmosphere of Young.
