California, the pristine coast line with beach town after beach town along Highway 1. In between the affluent city of Newport Beach and artistic town of Laguna Beach, lies Corona del Mar, CA. Corona del Mar was established in the early 1900's as a separation from Newport Beach. The town is famously known for the luxurious beaches, tide pools, boutiques, and tightly packed detached homes of all different kinds of styles lining the famous "flower named" streets. The large sand beach of Corona del Mar state beach and the rigged cliffs make up the famous coastline of Corona del Mar.

Corona del Mar is administered by their own local government, with their own zip code, library, and chamber of commerce, but is a sector of Newport Beach meaning they receive municipal services from the larger neighboring town. Currently the population is roughly 17,000 residents with over 7,000 households with a diverse age population. About 17% of residents are 65 and older, but there is also an increasing number of younger families, and generation X residents. The median income is roughly $125,000 per household. The local Corona del Mar High School has received many accreditations and awards for outstanding public schools. The school has an erollment around 1,400 kids with a 95% graduation rate and 84% go on to graduate from a four-year college.
