Amen...it's just ridiculous.
Only in America,

Kevin,
As I was renewing my license a few weeks ago here in Florida I was told that my old license and my passport were not enough to prove I am who I say I am. Really? My passport is good enough for like 250 countiries but not from the one it was issued from?? I had to go home and get my social security card and birth certificate....the two documents I needed to get my fricking passport!!!!!!! I think anyone should be asked for ID and have to get the required documents. It certainly is only racist to those who are breaking the law. Illegals cost the country billions each year and the best thing to do to start gfetting us out of debt would be to remove all of them...there are enough unemployed peolpe out there that would take ANY job at this point.
I hope someone refuses to show any documentation, and then sues the govt. agency that turns them away. We'll then see if we have equal privledges to illegals. Only in America is right!
Kevin - we, as citizens, have allowed this kind of crap to happen. And we, as citizens, need to change it. How? By how we vote, en masse.
Hmmm. perhaps we should require all Americans to obtain the equivalent of a drivers license, even those who don't drive, it would be called an ID card. In order for me to enroll in school I had to provide a birth certificate, immunization records and a copy of my ss card. Why did I have to follow the rules if nobody else does?
Perhaps folks visiting could have passports handy the same as we do when we visit other countries.
Just a thought. Is that too much to ask?
