Let's see, there are about 1.6 Billion houses in the world, about 100 million in the United States alone.

The harsh reality facing all of us is that by 2025 the world must increase its water supply by 22% meet its needs.

Yet 40% of all drinking water is still FLUSHED DOWN THE TOILETS!

1.  Food is being sold to us on the premise that it is healthy

2.  Appliances are being sold to us on the premise that they conserve energy

3.  Cars are being sold to us on the premise that they are good for the environment

But what about the houses?  The place where we eat those healthy foods, where we store the food in the energy saving appliances, and where we keep the Eco-friendly car that takes us to the market

Lest we forget, most energy (and money) is waster at home.

Why not point out the energy saving features of a house (or the possibility of turning a house into an Eco-friendly home?)  Why not show potential Home Owners how much they could save by making changes here and there and how much money it could save them.

At the same time, Home Sellers can learn about how to make their houses even more profitable in a down market.

Instead of getting ready for an upcoming crisis, why not avert it altogether?

Education is the key.

Wind, water, trees, and sunlight are renewable sources that are not in any danger of running out for good

However, oil, natural gas and coal are non-renewable sources that will run out.

Which resources power your house

Why?

Could you change that

Do you know where to find out about how to do it?

Do you really believe it is not going to be cost-effective in the end tally?

At this point we have the grand luxury of this topic being a 'debate.

But not for long friends

Best of luck and go Green.

Sorry, but until you Greens make meaningful progress on changing situations like this,

http://www.snopes.com/politics/bush/house.asp, I'm afraid you're fighting a long,

uphill battle with most of the public.

Why is this an uphill battle?  Why a battle at all?  Progress IS meaningful by definition.  Educating the public at large is not easy.  Especially when people have made up their minds.  A better way of living is not a religion, politics, or a philosophy.  It just makes sense.
