Recently, the RainCamp train made a slight deviation from its normal 'Big City' course. After doing LA, New York, DC, Dallas, Chicago and a number of other big market cities, we booked a RainCamp in Prescott. Some of you may have been thinking, "Prescott? Where the heck is that and how did RainCamp end up there?"
We ended up in Prescott (It's in Arizona, by the way) because a group of brokerages banded together and approached us about hosting a RainCamp in Prescott. They agreed to help us find a great venue (we cover the cost), get the word out about the event and ultimately guarantee people in the seats. We would love to do more than 2 RainCamps a month. We'd love to touch every corner of the country. Unfortunately, the marketing resources required to fill the seats only allow us to pull off our current 2 per month pace.
The Prescott RainCamp got us thinking that there must be other folks out there with the klout to help us get 300-400 people in a room for a day filled with amazing content geared to help those in attendance take their online presence to the next level. Maybe you're a loan officer at a mortgage company with all the right connections. Maybe you're a title rep with an inate understanding of the real estate professionals in your market and the ability to move them to action. Maybe you have influence at a large brokerage or with your local or state REALTOR® association. If that's you, we'd love to hear from you.
We are getting ready to begin booking our next set of RainCamps for September, October and November. You just may able to help us determine exactly where those will be happening.
Let us know in the comments below or by emailing raincamp@activerain.com if you think you may be able to assist us in bringing RainCamp to a city near you.
WHO'S NEXT?

I need a place a one-hop airplane ride away from San Francisco -- Salt Lake City would be super! Kansas City works.
Austin, San Antonio or Houston......
SALT LAKE CITY, UT. Very centralized for surrounding states, lots of things to do and see when not attending RC. You simply must visit UTAH. While St. George is nice, it is really close to Prescott so that would be redundant. Salt Lake City is just over an hour from me, but I would help facilitate the set-up. Rah,Rah,Rah...Sisboombah!!! Goooo SLC, UT!!
I would love you to come to Sacramento CA. I realize that San Francisco doesn't seem that far from us, but it is a much more difficult city to get around in, and Sacramento is open, lots of parking, and has great stuff to offer, including many things for out-of-town visitors to enjoy. We are easy to get to from the coast and Bay Area, but also easy to get to from Southern Oregon, Southern California, and Nevada. I'll bet you'd have a huge crowd here. How about it?
I think everyone would consider their individual city/town a consideration for a RainCamp! I know I would! But unfortuntely my city couldn't support a raincamp as there are few here that actually have a blog! Thank Goodness I am one of them, that does have a blog!
Considering Indianapolis is large enough to support a RainCamp it would make for an excellent choice, because it is close enough for rainers in Cleveland, Cinncinatti, and Lousville to drive to, and other could fly into Indianapolis. Not only that but we supported the REBarCamp that was held in Indy last fall with overwhelming participation.
Heck if you plan it right, guests could catch a "Colts" game!

Well now! I'll be really politically correct here. I'd go for Atlanta, Charlotte and Nashville, in that order. And that would be ease of attendance for me, but from the other comments posted, easy for lots of people from a driving perspective and if flying ATL would probably score 1 and Charlotte 2.
ALL of that said, we may be in Houston for a big event for a new business October 15-16, and if so, that would probably trump out Rain Camp, unless in ATL or CLT!
With the world's busiest airport, you'd think we rank MORE consideration than we are getting. And I think you could count on a pretty good core group to help you coordinate here....What kinda space do we need and I'll start working on it!!!
I love you Diane & Lisa! It's about time someone else from the QUEEN city popped over here!
We've all been so busy selling homes to the 391 new employees for the Caterpillar office that is MOVING TO CHARLOTTE, we haven't had time to cheer!!! ;-)
The Prescott Raincamp was a surprise location for us, but it is close to the Phoenix Metro area. We're looking forward to attending.
Bob- I think the next one should be in St. Louis- we are central for a lot of poeple and flying here can be fairly resonable from most parts of the county;) We also offer tons of FREE tourist things to do- Zoo, Museums, Forest Park, etc... check out my blog to see some of the fun stuff in STL. Plus- a wonderful night life!
Regardless of location, I am just excited to be headed to my first Raincamp! I will be travelling from Kansas to attend Raincamp in Orlando on August 24, 2010! If Raincamp were to be held in or near Kansas, my travel expenses would be much less but my focus is on the experience of meeting other ActiveRain members from around the country and learning how to put real estate networking education to productive use! There are many great places to have Raincamp and I plan to attend others in the future...whether in Kansas or not!
I would love to see it in Raleigh, but please don't have it on the 9th. I'm already missing REBar because I'm getting married on the 11th, and I wouldn't want to miss this too!!
The RainCamp train is chugging along. Next stop San Jose, Monday, September 27th. Salt Lake City is up next on Wednesday, September 29th. Can't wait to see you there!
We will also be announcing another round of RainCamps in the near future for October and November. We can't wait to put a few more markers on the map and meet so many of your in person!
Indianapolis, St Louis, or some where in Central IL between the two.
We look forward to meeting you too Bob and the rest of the gang.... So, tell me.......
