I took this on the ferry from Bainbridge Island to Downtown Seattle.    There are people who actually get to go to work every morning on The Wenatchee.  What a commute!

There is only one little complaint that I had about my day as a commuter on this route.  Seattle is thought of by us east coast people as Coffee City.  But there was no Starbuck's on the ferry.  Riders have to drink inferior swill if they don't have time to grab a really good latte on the run to catch the boat!

I did that "ride" a few years back when I visited Seattle. It is quite a trip...

Well, there might not be a starbucks every block...but there is a coffee shop.  We were able to get coffee 24/7 when we were in Seattle and thought is was fun!

I love the image. Neat to see a cityscape, countryside that is shot, sliced to look even wider, panoramic drive in screen in your face exciting. Not square and right out of the camera like most of the herd throws up on the projector carousel for the rest of us to graze, munch on.

I can imagine things worse than a ferry commute each morning - think of all the people that drive an hour on various interstates!!!

So true, what commuters see on a daily basis and take for granted! I used to comute to the city and getting to the office on time was my only concern, even if I had to knock down those slow moving people around me. Now I go to the city and on purpose barricade the commuters on the sidewalk. lol

Hi, Pat. Are you still in Seattle? Give me a call. I love that view of Seattle and use it on my website.

Pat, Glenn read my mind.  Thought this would be a perfect banner shot for a Seattle agent!

Great shot of the Seattle skyline.  As for me, I'll take the regular old swill any old time.  Works fine for me.

Pat - I love that skyline!  My little sister is in college at Cornish (downtown) and I've been fortunate to visit her and enjoy that great city.  I'm surprised at the lack of proper coffee on the ferry, though, and glad to know to plan ahead and bring me own.  Hope you enjoy your time there and thanks for sharing this shot.

Hi Pat-That is a great pic and I bet it was a blast riding on that ferry even if the coffee didn't measure up. Thank you for your friendship. Have a great weekend.

Pat -

The Washington State Ferries are a great, fun mode of transportation....especially at this time of year.  On rainy days in winter maybe less so....but scenic always.
