4 Bedroom Home for Sale in East Passyunk/Italian Market

1168 S S 13th Street

This is one of those rare opportunities to design, update and renovate a property on one of the best blocks in Philadelphia. Tremendous new construction and development on the block and in the immediate area. Super comparable sales make this a great opportunity for a handy homeowner or a savvy investor. A block away from the Broad St Corridor and in the desirable E Passyunk / Italian Market area. Property does need extensive updating throughout. High ceilings (9 feet) on both floors. Plenty of raw space and square footage to work with. Property is as tall as other 3 stories on the block. Hardwood throughout. Some original features can be salvaged such as railings, arches, built-in closets and a stain glass window. There is existing plumbing, heating and electric in the property. Nice, private rear yard. Four bedrooms upstairs with full bath that includes a claw foot tub. Is vacant and available immediately, thus easy to show. Owner is a licensed PA Realtor.

Heather's comment cracks me up. I, too, am a "junker-lover" :-) After some serious renovations, the owner of this home is going to be the envy of the neighborhood.

Christopher and Stephanie - Once again, you make me miss home.  A weekend trip with my dad to the Italian Market is one of those great memories I will always have of Philadelphia.  Especially since he knew so much about the history of the area, having been stationed at the Naval Yards when he and my mom were first married.

Matt- I just showed ap property in Point Breeze and drove righ over 9th and Washington where the open air  Italian Market is located. It was bustling as usual.

Chris- there is always a 2nd home in Philly for you. A studio in Center City for the city gal in you perhaps. You and Matt can go halfers!

Heather and Shannon- the place is pretty amazing inside for this style home.
