What is it? Where is it? Well that is why I am writing this blog.
Travel Town in its pure form is an outdoor Transportation Museum of old railroad cars, which preserves and celebrates the railroad heritage of the Western United States. It is a fun place where you can get in, and walk through trains of Americas past. In its collections are Locomotives, freight cars, cabooses, passenger cars, and motorcars dating back to 1899.
The idea of Travel Town was created by Charley Atkins in the late 1940. The original intention of Travel Town was to be a railroad petting zoo. A place where children can imagine themselves as the engineer

The Museum is open Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is closed Christmas Day.
