365 Things to do in Worcester County -Sturbridge Village is one of my favorite activities.  Sturbridge Village is a living museum that takes place in late 1700's to early 1800's.  It is the largest living museum in New England.

Located in the heart of Sturbridge, it is a multi-acre park that encompasses buildings one found in a village of the time.  My favorite building is the house of the tin smith.

It is so interesting to learn how those old fashioned lanterns are made.  The tours of the homes in Sturbridge Village include what people cooked at the time, the mill, metal smith, and the like.  You can go to the tavern and have period cuisine.  This place is great for children.  There is a boat ride you can enjoy, pick nic area to take a short brake in the middle of the day.

The fee is $20 dollars for adults and I think $7 for children.  Listen to this, they actually have a free day on Friday the thirteenth in August.  I made a short video with this information.

Oh, I was heartbroken!  There was no sound for your video when I watched it....   I love Sturbridge Village!   Cool place to visit.

I have many great memories of traveling to Sturbridge Villlage on field trips as a kid. Full of so much history!
