NAR logoTop 5 Reasons Why NOW Is The Best Time To Become a REALTOR!

1)  The market is improving.  There is nowhere to go but UP!

2)  The number of licensed REALTORS has gone down across the country.  There will be less competition for you.

3)  There are many, many avenues to market yourself online that are FREE!  There are terrific options for REALTORS today that were never there before.

4)  Brokers are waiting for you with open arms.  Brokers NEED more agents.....now more than ever.  It is a terrific time to get personal attention to get your career off to a running start.

5)  With unemployment being so very high, a Real Estate career is a healthy option for you.  It isn't a huge time committment to obtain your license.  It isn't even a huge financial investment.

Should you have any questions about becoming a licensed REALTOR, please don't hesitate to call me @ 856-628-2710.  I'll be glad to provide information on the REAL ESTATE schools in our area and give you my vote of support.

Just a thought for today.

I understand your reasoning.  However, I just read another blog post..... by Jamey & Ognjen Prezzi  giving all the reasons why newbies might not be as successful as they would hope to be.  And, as long as you can live without a paycheck for quite some time and have reserves for about a year, I say go for it.   Just don't expect to get all that individual attention, and don't come to me.  I want experienced agents.

Wish there was no where to go but up, things sure seem to be backing off right now.  I started in a bad market in the mid 80's and it really made the good market seem unbelieveable.  So I guess if you start now, you would have better times sometime in the future to look forward to!!!

HI Chris~  Yes, alot of it has to do with attitude as well as having reserves for the bad times.  it is definitely what you make it, that's for sure!

Thanks for bringing that blogpost to my attention, Don.  I have to say though that your words are pretty tough "Just don't expect to get all that individual attention, and don't come to me.  I want experienced agents."  Hopefully you are not a recruiter for your company.

As a selling manager who needs more agents in our office, I welcome new agents......and yes, they will get individual attention.

John - good point about the reserves, but not alway necessary.  If an agent is the second income of the family or a stay at home mom returning to work, the reserves may not be mandatory.

Vicki - Yes!  I agree!  Attitude is KING in sales!

Stephen - You're spot on.

Have a great day everyone!

I love it Chris,

A truly optimistic view.

Absolutely true... I thrive during slow downs. Our market here in Toronto is slowing down significantly and I'm buckling down for a very busy 4th quarter.

Keep that wonderful attitude.

It's a great time to be a Realtor.... I totally agree.

I simply cannot believe that you are encouraging people to become real estate agents so that they can compete against us. LOL
