Service with a Smile - Fletcher's Tire and Auto
One of my most favorite things to do with my new blogging hobby is to tattle on someone doing something wonderful!
Today I put another 100 miles on my car, racking up the miles on my new tires of a week ago. About 2 miles from home, I suddenly heard the most awful sound eminating from my front passenger tire. My daughter got out to look and saw nothing, but I was afraid that something had come loose within the tire or worse, that the wheel would somehow fall off.
I called Fletcher's Tire and Auto in a bit of a panic, and said I was on my way in - about 15 minutes away. I was afraid to go over 40, and called my husband to follow me down the road. All the way, the tire rubbed and groaned.
As I pulled into Fletchers Tire and Auto, one of the service men followed me to my parking spot.
"I heard you drive in", he said. "I'll go take it for a spin."
He circled round the large parking lot and pulled into one of the auto bays. I could just hear the dollar signs adding up in my head.
Long story short - a rock had kicked up into the wheel pad area and caught. The gentleman pulled out the rock, fixed a flap in the wheel well from installation day that had worked its way loose, and sent me on my way with a smile. No charge.
NO CHARGE! Almost unheard of in this day - especially with a chain franchise.
His smile was contagious - I think I smiled all the way home.
Thank you Fletcher Tire and Auto - Tangerine Road, Marana, AZ. How wonderful that good old fashioned service with a smile still exists.
P.S. Need new tires? They've got a deal going on right now that includes balancing, 4 free oil changes, and tire alighment.
