Deeply Sadden, Forever Missed

It's 4:00am when I heard my phone ring. I knew it wasn't going to be a good day. I heard nothing except for my screaming sister who is 35 weeks pregnant on the other line. I couldn't make out a word she was saying.

I dropped the call and ran over. We are neighbors and we shared a fence.

Our dear Bruno - my sister's almost 6Bruno woul  year old English Bulldog has just pased on. Bruno went in peace sometime around the 2:30am - 3:30am hour. No one knew. And Bruno would have a birthday in a couple of weeks.

Prior to that, I had received another phone call just past midnight that Bruno vomitted blood. My brother-in-law called the vet and said it's most likely heat exhaustion. Bruno needs to be monitored, needs alot of fluid.

We didn't expect Bruno to leave us so soon.

I am very sad today. An emotional wreck.

It's also my birthday weekend and last year, I celebrated it with a local agent stabbing me on my blog. This year, with Bruno's passing. I rather re-live last year's birthday over and over again if I could bring Bruno back.

Bruno was a survivor. Almost 2 years ago, Bruno almost left us - at that time because he had a twisted spline. But after surgery and expensive medical treatment, Bruno came back to us.

Bruno was a given name by me. My sister loved it and felt it was just a perfect name for our English Bulldog.

Now, Bruno is in doggie heaven with my Maxx - the Basset. Maxx left me 2 years ago and I'm still mourning his loss. Today, my heart is heavy again.

Bruno, I love you and I will miss you. Go play with Maxx now.

Loreeena, I'm so sorry for your loss.  I was petrified that you were going to say it had to do with the baby.  Thank goodness it didn't!  We are dog lovers too, so I feel your pain.  Hang in there!

Happy birthday this year!

Loreena, I am so sorry to hear that, and that picture fits perfectly with "A picture worths a thousand words".  I love English bull dog.  Losing a loved pet is no difference than losing a loved family member, they are our family.  They are the ones usually give us the unconditional love when we need it, they just know how to make us feel better.

This is indeed a sad day. He has been part of the family for 5 1/2 years. I am sure he is happy roaming in the yard of our Lord's mansion.

Loreena, on the bright side, Max who I know you loved dearly too maybe has a playmate sent straight from the Yeo family household now....

Pet deaths are some of the most impactful ones to our families and I have gone through what you are going through quite often in my life and they are definitely tough days.... Hang in there knowing a lot of people feel for you....

Hi Loreena. That is so sad. I can kind of understand because I lost two of my cats. Nowadays I have three dogs and if anything happened to them I would be crushed. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
