Best Buy Bonita SpringsTriumph for some, tragedy for me.  I hate shopping and I especially hate shopping in the electronics sort of stores.

Best Buy is a bottomless pit for me.  It may as well be an auto parts store.  I know that every time I step foot through that door, I'm kissing a minimum of one hour of my life good bye.  If  Al Gorithm is with me, I immediately walk through the door, hang a right and end up on the sofa pit group in the entertainment center room.  It's not necessary for me to stand on my feet and suffer through this entire event is it?

Well, horror of all horrors, last night I got dragged kicking and screaming into Best Buy and the sofa is GONE!  There are only two chairs in front of a kick butt plasma tv.  I patiently waited for the occupants to vacate and I snagged my spot.  Friday night - One hour and eighteen minutes of my life :: poof :: I watch Alicia Keys, live in concert. The whole concert at our Coconut Point Best Buy.

Does anyone else suffer in Best Buy or do I have an allergy to Best Buy?  Am I suffering in silence? Is it just a girl thing or was I born with a bad golf AND no electronic gene?

Can I have a bad electronic gene and I carry a digital camera everywhere I go?

I enjoy going in Best Buy, CompUSA, Computer City and others similar...I love to see the new gadgets.  I'd rather compare what I want online though and find the best buy that way...I do get frustrated with the crowds and lines in the stores anymore, people are rude.

Well you get a thumbs up for the Alicia Keys choice.... now Best Buy on a Friday night ....   I might rethink that move.    Just my every so humble opinion

I enjoy Best Buy when I go alone.  When I go with my engineer husband, I am bored out of my mind.

Chris, Don't take this wrong. I'm not saying you are OLD, BUT...

I think it is more a generational thing than a girl thing. I too dislike Best Buy. I've only been inside twice in my life, because I had to. Not willingly.

We have a Fry's Electronics here (which started life as Incredible Universe which was a "super" Radio Shack) and that isn't for me either. I would really rather just call up HSN and have them send it to me.

Way to much fun. Could have easily been titled " 78 Minutes of My Life I will Never Get Back " .

Good times were had by all of your readers. To bad there was Not a Shot of the Dismay and Displeasure obviously plastered on your face as you looked for the missing furniture.

Chris, you are just to much fun.

Chris - LOL - you are too funny! Ok Jack calls me "gadget girl" so for me it's just another place to shop :-) but loved your post - made me Roar!

Not only is it impossible for me to get out in less than an hour, but it is impossible for me to get out without buying something that I just do not need.  Yikes!  More stuff!

I love Best Buy, except at ours, the parking lot is always a zoo - that's the only part I do not like.  My wife certainly shares your feelings though.  She would rather watch a kids cartoon movie that she has seen 1 thousand times on that couch than browse with me there.

I try to avoid most store.  If I need electronic stuff I usually send my husband to get it.  If I go in I go just to the item I am interested in and this is usually after much research online.

Oh Chris I dislike any type of shopping especially when I have to go to Best Buy!  I try and get in and out.  I will not hesitate to find a salesman and pick his brain and get it for me.  Yes I am bad.

Lately we have been shopping on e-bay and online for computer stuff.  My husband picks and I agree.... even that sometimes pains me.

My hubbie is tech manager in service dept. of CompUSA.....so he just gets the stuff (I call..he gets) and comes home. Saves me from crowds (I don't like shopping period) and he works there anyway...not to mention knows what to get. I tell him to get the thingy and he knows what it is..haha.

Chris

So you carry your camera every where you go even at night?

Don't know what's wrong with Best Buy.

I suppose you don't like Bass Pro Shop either?

Hi Chris-

Actually, I'd say that you're pretty normal.... ahem.

You DO seem to have a problem with a BAD MUSIC gene however.

I like Best Buy.  I even like Home Depot.

Wal*Mart is what I loathe and dread.

I love electronics and tech gizmos. When my husband lost a bet and I was offered clothing for winning I bartered for a new cd player. But I will never set foot in a Best Buy again. I haven't been in one since 1996. I use to shop there for everything; if they would have sold food I would have been set. They messed up good and I will never go back. They can have a new computer for 99 cents and I can honestly say I would pass. I vowed whenever the name Best Buy comes up from then until the day I die I will make a negative comment. So here is mine. BTW for you not being into the whole tech thing you take great photos.

I'm sorry you don't like Best Buy. Personally, I like their stuff but am getting tired of working the double-duty.

I have a similar photo of Best Buy, but unfortunately it has a huge pile of snow in front of it :-)
