I recently posted a blog in which I said I successfully closed 51 transactions in 2009. One of my readers asked me for my statistics. I do not have buyers or sellers agent, I'm a one person operation and I'm too busy to keep statistics on where the lead came from.
Blogging has a landslide effect. An example is that a few years ago I obtained a listing from a gentleman who read my blog. He was moving to Texas and wanted to work with me since both he and I have a project management backgrounds. I listed and sold his property within 3 months. About 1 year later he referred his friend, a lady who wanted to move to Florida with her children. Her property sold at the first open house. This morning I received a telephone call from her neighbor, who wants to me to a different retirement community.
One blog client who receives quality customer service will result in additional business. I did not get any business from my blog for over a year. I was persistent and dedicated in writing. I didn't write every day, but tried to comment and write as often as possible. Sometimes I didn't know what to say, I'd contact my fellow Hawaiian wahine Sally Chessman who would provide me excellent ideas.
Start your landslide, blog as often as possible. Need help? Write a blog asking for help, read active bloggers or ask an Ambassador.
Represent your buyer or seller to the best of your ability and you will obtain additional referrals. Does blogging on Active Rain work? Absolutely!
