Now, I am including myself in this blog post.  I am not old but I am not young either.  I wear reading glasses and can't see to read without them.   I get frustrated when advertising is printed too tiny for me to read.  I believe most folks feel the same way.

                                                                                                     ads

I do lots of advertising whether on the internet or in print.  In our area, print media is still a viable option.  We are different from some places but real estate magazines and newspaper ads still attract buyers in the Texas Hill Country.  Maybe it is because we have so many tourists that come here and buy property while visiting.

We make sure older folks can easily read our ads.  A few words easily read are better than many words not read.

I have noticed even on internet blogs and profiles sometimes the print is too small to read.  Having sold advertising in the past, I know that white space is important and letters large enough to read easily will make sales for you.

So remember, when you are advertising property or branding yourself, make it easy to read.  You want to get your message out!

I have a 17" laptop. Heavy? Somewhat. However, the large screen an 10-key numeric pad make it worth the extra weight.

Melissa - thanks for the sensitivity of your post.  Issues with aging may frequently we neutralized with the smallest of considerations.  Many of our state contracts and disclosures now have minimum font size for some types of information.  Hower, Wallace demonstrated it best - just use bigger choices!

Jack- I am proud of the post because it was written by a wonderful lady, Ricki and I re-blogged it because it is important information and I felt we focus so much on the deal that sometimes we lose sight of what would truly help our clients.  No pun intended.

They should revise the contracts with larger font, after they are scanned/faxed etc a few times I can barely read them myself :)

Hi Melissa,  You did get some good comments.  I am glad.  I like to deliver good information and points that help people.  Wouldn't it be nice if the contracts came in a variety of font sizes?  Maybe we should suggest this to TAR.

Ricki- We could certainly try to get TAR to revise the font, great idea.

Start the charge & I'll back you up :)  You can be President of the cause!
