Do You Know What This Is?

This structure represents a portion of history in Northern Virginia.  When this structure was built it was discovered this area was the site of Revolutionary-war burying ground, which meant the remains of soliders found there needed to be moved.

Despite the negative connotations to its history the evidence of what it did can still be seen not only a few blocks away but also in DC as well.

Do you Know What It Is?

Northern Virginia Agents let others see if they can name this structure and it's purpose before jumping in!

Hello Cindy and with out reading your post I would have thought it was a holding tank for people, jail, or small fort that people would fight from the inside out, very interesting pic!

I thought it looked like a jail too. Wouldn't make a good converted house. Some people do that with silos.

Gerry-I don't think there is a disco ball inside this structure.  But the burn...hot....hot...hot....does play into it.

Anne-you know it is something that until about 10 years ago I hadn't paid any attention to.  One those things you see and go or sure and then forget about.
