non communication from selling agent

By
Real Estate Agent with The Indy Realty Shop

I have wrote about something similar to this in the past....other agents that have never got down the idea of what communication is in business.  In other professioanl industry would this be tolerated!

Here is my most recent example:

Found a bank owned home for a client of mine, we had financing lined up, inspection went fine, appraisal went fine.  We had date scheduled for closing 3 weeks ago. Two days before closing I find out the listing agent never had the title work ordered!  So that pushed us back a few days. We schedule closing again, come to find out, the Sheriff's deed hasn't been recorded, etc.  Over the next 3 weeks I get no communication from listing agent, other then the time I finally caught him in the office and he answered my call.  I sent emails, voice mails, nothing.  He promised to get back with me again last week, nothing from him.  Basically, all I wanted was some communication on what was going on.  Even if it's "hey, I have nothing further".

I finally got fed up with him, so I left a message for both of his managing brokers, as well as emails. Guess what?  No response whatsoever.

Listing agent finally got back with me yesterday and said closing should be by the 15th of this month, which would be 60 days from pending date.

In my opinion, the real estate industry is prime picking for people that do take care of their clients!
