ACTIVERAIN'S BRAD ANDERSOHN.....will make you a MAN or a MOUSE...

I had an occasion to seek answers from ActiveRain the other day and emailed customer service. A short while later, I get a call from Brad Andersohn.

Is this Richie.....says Brad. I say you bet and how can I help you? Well he ended up helping me. Really helping me.

Life is full of surprises.....thank you. I called ActiveRain for one thing, but I really needed help on another thing. What makes the post compelling is that I did not know I needed help, but Brad did.

After addressing my puny issue, Brad proceeds to dialog and input to me at a rapid pace. I quickly went into my listening sponge mode. I know value when I see and hear it. He proceeded to educate me about the Internet, ActiveRain, posting, profiling, getting hits, increasing your business and just becoming a "GO TO" person in the virtual world. This guy wanted me to have the maximum experience ActiveRain can offer. 

I quickly scrambled for pen and paper, but that was useless as this human input machine (Brad) was quicker than any handwriting known. He instructs me to go to my computer and proceeds to demonstrate and support all his points AND views... making everyone one of them. I was not overwhelmed, but to the contrary, I was in a state of bliss, of transformation. I can feel the old Richie peeling away and the new one being assembled. No pain...but plenty of gain.

Many things were told to me..some so valuable that if I repeat them, I would have to be killed.......

Brad then takes me to my profile and asks me if he could proceed..... brutally proceed. I said, go for it... and the surgery commenced (without anesthetic). I had too much me-ism and not enough you-ism in my statements. Furthermore, I lacked what he called WHITE SPACE which is a break between writings. My invitation was weak and my hook was not active...on ActiveRain. The big fish are getting away.....thought I.

Again, Brad asked permission to CUT DEEPER and I mumbled something like go ahead....He did and I discovered that less was more in making points on my profile. In between dissecting and helping me, Brad is fielding phone calls and helping others with one-liners done with all the courtesies and professionalism's available. I was humbled that he was spending quality time on ME while keeping commitments to others.......very impressive.

While he was inputting and feed-backing to me, I got a glimpse of what it must be like at RAINCAMP. I have heard others testify to their RAINCAMP experience, but until you had your own or just a taste like I did, you cannot appreciate it fully.

Well, I changed my profile, and I have excellent direction for my posts. In due time, I will iimplement accordingly. Brad was very quick to point out what was working too, how he liked many things that I had said and done, and that what he was proposing is optional and at my discretion. You see he explained to me that ActiveRain is made up of many types of individuals all having their different reasons for being online. He respected them all.

During this educational phone call, he praised many other ActiveRainers siting them as good examples to follow. Believe me when I tell you, he knows who you are and appreciates your participation IN THE RAIN.

The value of this experience.....in the thousands of dollars. If I fully implemented his input, who knows?

I thanked Brad profusely. He sent me an email and I responded with this....

You made an ONLINE man out of me. Well done. The other choice was a mouse.......
