Feeling Full?

A new week—new month. So many see the fruits of that springtime labor pay off now. New listings on the board, escrows open, others closing. The sound of happy buyers and sellers fill the hallway and Realtors® everywhere breathe a sigh of relief. Finally you are getting ahead.

Are you really?

Should you be one of the lucky ones who’ve bucked up, worked hard and now deposit a bit of money to your account, I hope this be the year you heed that repetitive advice you so often hear.

Stay on it. Keep the pipeline full. Call past clients and stay in touch with your sphere of influence. Check in on social networking and keep in touch with everyone you can. Send out those market reports, mailers and newsletters. Keep up your memberships with local organizations and show up (actively) at the meetings. Make conversation about real estate with everyone you know. Show ‘em  that you know what you’re talking about.

In other words—don’t let the temporary high of activity make you remiss about that which caused this success. It’s like eating a nice meal. You feel full afterwards. The idea of shopping for groceries or cutting veggies for tomorrow’s soup is the last thing on your mind. Put it off too long though, and you will get hungry…
