I really love  my job as a Stager!!!

I get to meet so many people and it satisfies my urge to play with houses;).

My husband is grateful for that because otherwise we would be redecorating or moving LOL.

What I can't get used to is the on again off again lifestyle!

You know the rush around and 'get those consults done ASAP' times followed by

the 'will anyone ever call again times'.

I should be able to sit                        and enjoy those quiet periods BUT

                                 THEY DRIVE ME CRAZY!!!

THIS HOLIDAY WEEKEND WAS BUSY FOR ME. SO FOR NOW I'M SMILING!

Am I alone in my insanity?

No, you're not alone. I think most of us in the real estate industry experience that feeling. It's tough to go a hundred miles a minute, and then come to a stop. I use the slow times to take more classes, tackle a long-put off project, or do other infrastructure building that needs to be done in any business. Best to you,

Lottie, I do other things but I'm always finding myself checking my phone LOL.

Thanks for your comments!

the hurry up and wait mentality!   LOL   No it doesn't get easier....an agent told me when I first got into real estate 16 years ago....enjoy it when you are busy as you will wish it were slower...and enjoy it when you are slower as it will get busier and you will be glad!  LOL

You're never alone with those feelings.............it's the nature of the beast.  Feast or famine!  Your husband won't be too happy if you don't get some work soon............are your wheels already turning?  Hey Janice, thanks for all of your support lately!

You are most definitely not alone!  I have four jobs in a week and then three weeks without any calls at all...I never know what is coming.

Thanks for the words of wisdom Deborah!

Yes Roger my wheels are spinning LOL. He never escapes entirely because we are updating our home in case we decide to downsize ;). How long till your Florida trip?

Sharon, I know what you mean. When someone asks me to plan something I always say I'm ok at the moment. You just never know when that next call is coming. I only have one agent/client that gives me a few days notice LOL.

Janice,

Not alone, as U have heard from the others.  It is a waiting game, no matter how hard we try to sell our services.  Waiting for realtors; waiting for sellers to get the message about the value of staging.

Keep on rockin'

Sharon

Janice...great minds you know.  I just posted something about this on Facebook.

Maureen and I concurred recently that every job...could be our last job.  Heaven forbid but it is the feeling that we get.  Glad you put it to a post!

No, you're not alone Janice. Some real estate professionals are crazy-busy all the time, but I think the vast majority have the same struggle that you outlined. This is why there's NO EXCUSE for them not spending time on AR and learning the ropes of internet marketing.

Ginger, it's good to know I'm not the only one riding this roller coaster LOL.

Malcolm, I must admit being on AR keeps me connected during the down times.

If we let those little seeds of self-doubt get planted, (which we ALL do!) and then we water them, (with our sweat and tears?) they grow strong and healthy and make us second guess ourselves...NO...you are not alone!  I have recently seen 3 new stagers "open their doors" for business in our area, while 10's more closed...hang in there!

Cheryl, I plan on hanging on! I just wondered if I was the only worrier out there. I just hate those lulls.
