13 Comments on NASTY BUG............ANALYSIS PARALYSIS..........THERE IS A CURE
Nice post. I have seen 'analysis paralysis' first hand & it only makes the situation worse than it was in the beginning. I will say though personally, if I can't make a decision fair quickly, then my decision is NO decision. There has only been a few times that I can remember, the last one being whether to change real estate companies or not. I could not make a decision which is not like me at all. I took it as a sign.
Hi Lyn....you know just experimenting with it is a step toward learning on how to handle the darn thing....seems like you are progressing with it. Also, I use NO liberally when I have to. Plus, I am aware that there are decisions that can be revisited. Until then, NO works pretty well. Thank you Lyn for coming by...
Richie - It was nice to speak with you on the phone today. I think we just had a conversation about this very thing? LOL. I can usually make a decision relatively quickly as well. However, when it comes to writing,....not so much. I get stuck more often than not. Thanks for giving me the inspiration to get over my "analysis paralysis." ;-) Enjoy your day.
Richie: Ouch! Have you been peeking over my shoulder? I really have been trying to step-up and just make those decisions intelligently and promptly. Finally admitted to myself that I was looking to others to help me make decisions rather than seeking the proper avenues, looking at the facts, looking inward and learning to just say "No". Thanks for the choker chain!
Richie - Great reminder for all of us to take action. You said: I would rather make decision than not make decisions. Not everyone is cut out for that however. What many overlook is that not making a choice IS a choice. It's always better to take charge than to leave the happenings in our life to "chance."
Judy....you inspired the post dear girl. I am giving you co-author rights. Judy your helping me through improving my ONLINE presence with your suggestion was most beneficial for me. Thank you for caring and then taking the time to walk me through. Hey, I even got a post out of it. Very best to you.......and roast those posts ....!
Tish...I want all my ONLINE friends and fellow Rainer's/commenter's to have everything life can offer. Yes, I am looking over your shoulder. Your comment makes perfect sense and is the beginning for change for you...good change. Go get em.....
I experience this very thing while riding with my wife. Just because my directions suck doesn't mean that she shouldn't make the decision to turn around faster once I admit we're lost, and I make that decision quickly. I suppose she's cautious because I am so decisive and frequently wrong. Yes, I just got out of the car and she was driving. :)
John...if my post were meaty fresh BBQ ribs, you comment is the sauce that would go on them. Well said and Bon appetite.....! NOT MAKING A CHOICE IS A CHOICE......by John Mulkey
Glenn....thank you for the following:
1. Being human.
2. Surviving marriage
3. Sharing honestly
4. Surviving the mystery of why a woman does anything....I am in college on that one (40 years) and still have not graduated.
Richie - Thanks for the compliment. I only stop by to occasionally water the plants but the seeds are always germinated inside your head.
I LOVE to make snap decisions! They are correct because they are my highest thought before all the brain indecision kicks in that tells you to study and wait.
John.....key to my post is under the mat on the front porch...help yourself.
Lizette....you are using your resources and this is a good thing. Now, to the refinement of it all so that it can serve you and others even better.
Carry on dear girl
