Used Car Anyone?

By
Real Estate Agent with Prudential Calfornia Realty

Was this your Realtor?

Do you remember in 2004 and 2005 when selling San Diego real estate was easy as pie?  There were well over 28,000 real estate agents in San Diego county and the general public was annoyed.  It was easy money and everyone wanted it.

How about now?

Well guess what.  The California Department of Real Estate reported last Wednesday that they are revoking licenses at a record rate.  Seems that used car salesmen and come out in all markets.

Looks like the used car salesmen are dropping out and the slimeballs are getting kicked out!

Krista:  Things go in cycles.  I have seen this same thing happen in the 70's, the 80's and the 90's.  What's old is new again... again.

I'm glad to hear it. It has happened a lot more recently with the mortgage industry.

Krista, this is always good news for the professionals out there.  We don't need to be associated with those that are having their licenses revoked.  And no one really wants to be thought of in the same class as a used car salesman!  They will jump back in once things pick up, but the professionals will just keep on going!

Do you know how many agents in San Diego COunty now? Hopefully some of the mortgage people will be flushed out by the new NMLS requirements.
