How is the real estate market in your area?

By
Real Estate Agent with Not Available

I just want to see what others think of the market where they are doing business? Do you think it is a buyers or sellers market? Are you having to change the way that you do business, or the way you have to get business? I am still new to real estate, November will be a year. I have noticed that when the market was great here in Oregon people didn't really have to look for business it just came to them. Now people are actually having to go back and learn how to get business. I think that because it has gotten rough around here, I have noticed so many newer agents that have gotten into the business, have dropped right out within a few months.

In Toledo it is definitely a buyers market.  The number of available homes far outweighs the number of ready and able buyers.  :(

Buyers market in Chicago ---- huge inventory, the few buyers there are have no sense of urgency. They want to see ALL the homes available and can't make up their minds.

Definitely a buyer's market, and prices are dropping in this area at about 7% from last year.  I can't wait for this to be over.
