Well not me - WHEW (my kids are 17 and 21)
But I got a call last night from a young couple I had sold a home to 2 years ago.
At the time they were just about to get married, and looking for their first home together.
There are a lovely, sweet young couple and I thouroughly enjoyed spending time with them and helping them to find a great home in a great community in Inwood, LI.
I have spoken to them occasionally over the years. I have given their phone number to others looking to move in to their community and wanting information. They are always happy to help.
A while back when I spoke to him, he mentioned that his wife was expecting. I was thrilled for them.
Last night I got one of those 10pm phone calls. Knowing who it was I answered - Hi - I hope that all is well!
He said just wanted to tell you the good news - we had a girl the other day!!
After all the congratulations we had a nice chat and he made a point of saying, just because we are in the house doesn't mean we can't talk and share simchas.
How true that is - this business is about relationships as much (maybe more so) than business.
I am so happy for them as they move on to this next step in their lives!
