Don't miss the annual Duluth Fall Festival - Saturday 9/29 and Sunday 9/30 in downtown Duluth. Admission is free. Festival History — The Duluth Fall Festival has been an annual event for one quarter of a century. It is run completely by volunteers, who number over 350. On festival weekend they can all be seen wearing their specially designed, annual festival t-shirts. Weekend crowds are estimated at 80,000. The Festival is kicked off on Saturday morning with a huge parade through Downtown Duluth. This is followed by the Opening Ceremony on the stage at the Duluth Festival Center on the Town Green. Continuous entertainment takes place there all weekend. In the streets of Old Duluth there are over 300 arts, crafts, and food booths, with every imaginable item for sale or for tasting. Two separate children’s areas feature rides, games, entertainment, and crafts designed just for kids. Booths close at 6:00, but the day continues with a free Saturday night concert at the Festival Center Stage. Sunday morning starts with the annual Festival 5K Road Race at 8:00 from the Town Green through Old Duluth. At 10:00 an outdoor worship service is held at the Festival Center sponsored by Duluth First United Methodist Church. Then fun, food, and entertainment take over until 5:00 when the Festival ends and clean up begins. Arts and crafts and food booths are open all day. Proceeds always go to the beautification and improvement of Downtown Duluth. The Festival has been responsible for many projects including the acquisition of Taylor Park, building renovations, landscaping, lighting, brick sidewalks, etc. The most ambitious undertaking was the building of the Festival Center, a pavilion/amphitheater on the Town Green. www.duluthfallfestival.org

Deb, thanks for the post.  May I suggest that you insert some pictures of past festivals? If you don't know how to do that, I'd be happy to help.  It would increase your readership.  Forty-four square inches of text with no relief (paragraphs separated by white space and graphics) is pretty daunting to the reader who finds your blog. LOL
