Good reminder for people new to your area, Cynthia. I never thought about NC being in hurricane zone before, however now that I think about it, anywhere along the coast may be hit. It reminds me of my old Brownie motto 'Be prepared'.

N. C is definitely in the hurricane zone and our coast was hard hit from 1999 to 2001.  We need to be prepared and pray we are spared.  "Be prepared", indeed.  Thanks.

Cynthia, our Nor Easters are fierce and it's time to get ready here in New York as well.  Thanks for the reminder, I have some things but not everything I need...We have places to evacuate to but they don't allow pets and that's an issue for many people I know---myself included.  Do they have provisions in your area?

Yes, we all need to get things in order for these storm that might come our way.  Pets are a problem here too, some vet's take in some and the animal shelters do too.
