ABC Soup in Your Bowl, Eat’er Up! ("A" Day)
Come on in, sit down, and start filling your bowl full of some great ABC soup for the next 26 days. Who knows your bowl may start flowing over and your gut will be so full that you’ll want to share a little.
I’ve decided to write this blog due to all the negative “bubbling” up all over our real estate industry. I can’t take it anymore. I’m going to invest in earplugs that have a remote volume locator to shut off the Blah, blah, blah. It’s the positive that draws me in. Now don’t think I’m unrealistic, I’m not (maybe a little naïve at times, lol). I just believe, negative keeps the stench of the bull thriving. Want a good laugh? My inspiration to write these blogs comes from reading Mariana Wagner’s posts for localism An Alphabet of Localism Post Ideas http://activerain.com/blogsview/160625/An-Alphabet-of-Localism this is great stuff. She’s outlined every idea imaginable to post in localism. With her permission I’ve decided to run a series of my own ABC’s. It’s not on localism (I’m not trying to take from Mariana’s wonderful blogs), but directed towards the real estate professional and gaining or maintaining great success.

ADD VALUE. Know your market, take a new class, go to community events, research all you can about your area.

ACCEPTANCE. Get your offers accepted. Be mindful of your local market values, minimum earnest money requirements, deadlines, and have very good communication with the buyer’s agent or listing agent.
AUGUST
-Market report for the month to send out to your SOI and farm areas. You can get this information from the MLS.
-Did you send out your marketing piece for the month? If not you’ve got to hurry.
ARM’s. Get in touch with your lender (or lender get a hold of agent) and work together on how you can help people in your community by either refinancing or selling to avoid loss.
A’s. Follow Mariana’s A list and get blogging to get you out there in your local area.

ABS. Exercise and Fitness. Focus on your health and get that six pack a roll’in. Strengthen and lose body fat is the key.
APPEARANCE. Buy yourself a new outfit, get a new haircut or just remind yourself to smile and stand tall with confidence.
AUTUMN. The first day of Autumn is 9/23/2007. Which means a couple things. Kids are back in school, the leaves are changing, and you should be thinking about your 2008 business plan.
ADD AN ASSOCIATE. Once you’ve built a blogging relationship, add that person as an associate. You are a networking machine and how easy will that associate list be when you need to refer business to an out of state agent?
ADVERTISE. Did I say advertise? Yes, if you’re not all ready, get your name out there. Every Just Listed/Just Sold, mail it. Don’t walk away from hard work and not reward yourself with another listing and another buyer. Send the postcard to 100-200 in the area and to your SOI. Let them know you ARE working the business.
ABUNDANCE. A great or plentiful amount. That is the definition. Is what that means to me? There is so much to go around in this business. Sure we all want to take on the real estate university and own it all, work it all, and be the best agent for everybody that walks the earth. That is not possible (to take on the university anyway), obviously. So why are so many afraid to share their success? When we give, it comes back 2 fold. Try to share one thing today.
ACTION. Are you moving your body and your mouth? Getting yourself out there in front of all those buyers and sellers waiting to have you represent them? Or are you letting your fingers do the walking and talking? No I’m not talking about driving down the road and fingering the crazy driver next to you. I’m talking about spending too much time thinking about what you are going to do or searching the internet on what you are going to do. You just have to get yourself in ACTION.
