Wow.  Turns out that there's a 24-yr-old "Real Estate Expert" in the Sacramento, CA area who has bought no less than 8 properties in the past calendar year.  He was a subscriber to the Carlton Sheets program, among others.  And he's in a world of ship right now.

If you don't know about the story of this guy, Casey Serin... now is the time to learn.  His website is a wildly entertaining read.  Throughout his website, he dodges the gray line of what's right and what's wrong.

Worse: He's put enough info on his website that ... well, he can do some serious jail time.

Trust me: EVERY Realtor should take a few minutes to review his website, and his semi-sad story.  Start here: http://iamfacingforeclosure.com/1/why-i-am-facing-foreclosure/

And his home page:
http://iamfacingforeclosure.com/

And the news goes on... every day.  Just do a Google search on http://news.google.com  and enter "Casey Serin"

You'll be amazed.  This ... er, 'investor' has lied, cheated, swindled and taken advantage of our current Mortgage Lending System - nine ways from Sunday.

There are lessons here.  Many.  Again: read and be amazed.

Actually, Jim. he's just a crook.  Instead of using a gun, he used a pen.  He defrauded 8 different mortgage companis with his deceit.

His youthful inexperience is working for him and keeping him out of jail.  To this day, he refuses to get a job and continues to complain how the system that he defrauded is "hurting him".

He and Ken Lay should share a cell

Notice how he sells advertizing on his site?  He's got a tip jar?  Come on.....I smell a big fat rat.  I think it's a scam.  He is already a fraud and he's minoring in con man.  I don't feel sorry for him at all.

I actually stumbled upon a story about this guy a few days ago.  While it may be self-gratifying to label this 24 year old as a fraud and a crook, I am sure that he had many willing accomplices, many of them in the lending industry.  I am sorry.  I don't usually shed many tears for criminals, but this guy (an immigrant from Eastern Europe) seems to have been taken in by some get rich quick scheme.  Why not throw the guy who came up with the scheme in jail.  This Casey Serin did not mastermind the fraud, he was simply following a carefully laid out plan.  Do you believe that the mortgage industry is not complicit in this type of fraud?  What exactly is the purpose of a stated income loan?  And please, don't get sanctimonious with me.  While there are plenty of crooked real estate agents, I think the situation might even be worse in the lending industry.

I appreciate the fact that this young man is shedding light on the underbelly of the real estate and lending industries.

I'm experiencing a similar issue with my house flipper in a bait and switch scam he's trying to pull on me with a 'vandalism' claim on a house that is already distressed..  Basically he's trying to scam me out of 30k by claiming vandalism which he has no proof of..  The house is already in bad shape.  It's laughable how these house flippers can try to scam people..    I fortunately have a lawyer and will start lawsuit proceedings to get my money..   Too bad house flippers are such con artists along with the rest of the scum in the real estate industry that make everyone look bad..   Too bad this guy picked me to do his scam on because I'm taking this clown to the cleaners now..

Not all house flippers are frauds. We've been flipping for 10 years and killing it now in Texas. Check out my blog to see how the honest, professionals rehab houses for profit THE RIGHT WAY.
