The first Friday of every month is a great time to visit Downtown Greensboro. Why? Each month, during the First Friday event, many art galleries, museums and stores are open and host special events.
Here are just some of the highlights of tonight's events:
- At Elements Gallery, see beautiful fused and stained glass created by local artists and participate in a mini drop-in workshop and create a fused glass pendant of your own!
- At Center City Park, bands will begin at 6:00 p.m. Live music will also be featured at many of the other stops along the First Friday self-guided tour.
- Just across the street, the Greensboro Cultural Arts Center will host several art exhibitions and some hands-on activities.
- Our newest museum, The International Civil Rights Museum, will also host live music and drawings for prizes. Yesterday's Greensboro News and Record Go Triad had a $2 off admission coupon.
After strolling throughout Downtown Greensboro, you may want to grab a bite to eat at one of the multitude of restaurants or enjoy dessert from Cheesecakes by Alex or Ganache.
