Environmental Community Service Opportunities in Orange County
Volunteers from the Peace Centered Education Society help facilatate environmental community service projects with the 'Adopt-A-Park' program in the Orange County Regional Parks. Currently the volunteers are meeting on the second Saturday of each month to plant trees and cactus, do hiking trail work and habitat restoration.
Where: Irvine Regional Park in the city of Orange
When: Saturday August 14, 2010 (every second Saturday of the month)
Times: 8:30 - 11:00 AM - Habitat restoration volunteers (meet the Ranger in the parking lot)
10:30 - 12:00 noon - Lunch crew (set-up and clean-up)
Lunch will be provided for volunteers and families in group area #1 next to the zoo entrance.

Volunteers come from Anaheim, Fullerton, Orange, Yorba Linda, Brea, Placentia, Anaheim Hills, Villa Park, Garden Grove, Buena Park, La Habra, La Palma, Stanton, Westminster, Santa Ana, Tustin, Costa Mesa, Irvine, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, and all of Orange County.
Irvine Regional Park is a great place for Families to have a picnic and enjoy the outdoors.
