The Rotary Club of West Springfield Virginia

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Executives

Hi,

I'm new to AR - my husband is in the process of building my site here, etc.  Since we are both realtors and Rotarians, one of the first things he did was to look for Rotary in the groups.  My club is http://www.westspringfieldrotary.org  Springfield is at the junction of the Capital Beltway and I-95 in Northern Virginia.  It is an extremely popular and convenient residental community just outside Washington, D.C.  I've been a Rotarian since June 2005.  Our club has 50 members and has been in existence for 25 years.  Locally, we award scholarships to West Springfield High students (college and vocational), teacher awards,  Mission of Mercy free dental program for hundreds of indigent families, Kristi's Christmas for indigent children, Special Olympics, blood donor programs, Salvation Army. Alzheimer's etc.  I'm Membership Chair and starting up the ladder.

Arthur's club is The Rotary Club of Lake Ridge Virginia which is just outside Quantico Marine Corps Base.  This is his second club.  We purposely joined different clubs so we could broaden our service opportunities.

We are both brokers and have been licensed 30 years.  Realtors are not always recognized for their community service - there are more than 1,100 Rotarians in RE/MAX in the US and about 200 more internationally.

Hi Karen, welcome to AR and thank you for finding this group so quickly!  I noticed your club is a breakfast club also, and so it Amy's! I was visiting a lunch club the other day for a "make up" and someone stated that breakfast clubs are for "hardcore Rotarians" :-)
