About 10-15 miles east of your Mission Valley condominium is the Water Conservation Garden at Cuyamaca College, located at 12122 Cuyamaca College Drive West in El Cajon:

The Water Conservation Garden hosts many events throughout the year, some as fund raisers and some free. Tomorrow, Sunday, August 8, is one of those free events, and it's a good one. It's the 2010 Summer Music and Culture Festival, taking place from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Along with lots of live music — Aborigine, bossa nova, classical guitar, folk, Latin, reggae, and rock — you'll also find lots of dancing, including belly dancing, contemporary, flamenco, fusion, Gypsy, Indian, and Polynesian.

Lots of music and lots of dancing! What more could you want?

How about snake charmers, fire dancers, magic shows, face painting, arts and crafts, and, of course, food?
