Earlier this week I conducted my first showing with a young couple that I a am working with. They requested a showing for a property that I sent them through MLS. The property was a two bedroom townhouse in the City and priced at a slightly under $200K. Upon entering the unit I could clearly see that it needed some minor updates and made some recommendations to my buyers. But as we, entered the kitchen my clients noticed what they thought to be a minirefrigerator under the sink...."wait is that the stove?" said the husband. "No it looks like the sink" I replied. Upon further investigation it turns out that it was all three in one. You heard me correct. It was a Sink, Stove and Refrigerator all in one. I have never seen one of these in my 6 years of showing real estate. I'd imagine it may be common in a trailer or some other type of small living quarters but not in a Bi-Level Townhouse built in the Mid 1970's. This "thing" was the only appliance in the entire town house. My buyers are somewhat interested in the property, but this all in one contraption is not helping my cause. The listing broker explained the the owners own a restaurant and never cook at home so that got rid of the appliances and replaced them with the all in one special. In my opinion, Not a good idea! It may have been a "Hit" for the sellers but it is a "Wonder" to us all.
