Kaye.

Thanks for commenting.  Reasonable??  I've heard our prices described as a lot of things, but never reasonable.  I suppose it depends on the location.

Now, I'll have to take a tour of homes in Manhattan Beach and compare.

Lenn, what gorgeous homes.  We have more walkout basements than two story homes.  Seems yours have more character.  Wonderful area.!

And here I am in my 500 sq. ft. one bedroom townhouse. At least 725k gets someone three acres over there. Well, price we pay to live in "paradise"?

Kay.  Builders almost always build two story homes here with the exception of custom.  The two story is most cost effective for the builder and also works on small lots.

Sally.  500 square feet????   500 square feet????  Good grief!!!!  I sold a 900 square feet condo 4 years ago because I stumped my toe and said "I've got to get outta here".  I could live in 500 square feet.  I'd just have to have a GIANT yard sale.

Steve.  Thanks Steve.  It is really beautiful around here.

Lenn, these homes seem so REASONABLE.  Are they eating the resales alive, or is your market sustaining both?  I can't believe the amount of land that goes with them...

Yvette.  Thanks.  My maps are a trademark.  I have a map fetish.  And a door fetich.

Laurie.  The new homes builders are, indeed, priced much better than the resale market.  New home prices have been reduced by about 15-20% over the past year.  These homes are in an area that is zoned for 3 acres or more.  But, it's pretty far out from DC.  Not too far from the employment centers in Loudoun County though.  That's were folks out here work.

Kay.  That's what I thought.  I believe folks get a lot of beautiful home for their money around here.
