Take a stroll through town ~ August in Connecticut.
Put your walking shoe's, flip-flops or just barefoot and take a stroll through town. It is a great way to de-stress and to get to know your neighbors and the community. My favorite time is early in the morning when it is still cool out or just before sunset when the shade is long. Take a stroll through the neighborhood and check out all the beautiful gardens, everything is in full bloom right now.
The Connecticut towns are great to stroll through, do a little window shopping, grab a cup of coffee, a glass of wine or a meal. A lot of the restaurants and deli's have outdoor seating. For local restaurants see my blog... http://activerain.com/blogsview/1777400/favorite-local-restaurants-fairfield-county-connecticut-
In the evening we like to walk downtown and grab an ice cream, especially on the hot August days. Almost every town has a their own ice cream spot, check out the blog on local ice cream shops at .... http://activerain.com/blogsview/1785374/ice-cream-a-hot-august-day-in-connecticut
Another favorite spot to take a stroll is at the the town park or beach. Evenings are a great time to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy the sunset. Bring a picnic and enjoy the scenery, there should be no hurry on an August day in Connecticut.
