Showing, A great feeling again!

By
Real Estate Agent with Century 21 LeMac Realty

Showing, A great feeling again!  I have an appointment to show homes today after church!  Most people would not be thrilled to be called in to work on a Sunday.  I Love being busy.  My wife even says that I am grumpy when not busy.

This couple is fairly typical for my market in that they are coming to look at homes with very little time to do so.  They live and work in a different state, but know that they want a home here in the beautiful ozarks.  I work hard to make it as easy for them to look as I can.

I have done this for so long that it is second nature to me.  It actually makes it a little easier on me as well.  When buyers drive 500 miles to look at homes they usually want to see what I consider to be good buys rather than eveery home on the market.  If things change and they want to see a broader base, that is fine.  They are the ones on a very limited time budget.

Have a Great Day Today...I will!

I think it is our job as you know to show houses on weekends when people can come and see them.  We also have open houses in Midland Michigan on weekends and Wednesdays to help out the people.  I think it is part of our being a real estate agent.

Andrew,  I make time for my family.  The market had been so unpredictable for the past year and a half that I am more than willing to show on Sundays.  Part of being a Realtor in this part of the country!

Jane,  It IS part of my business.  I would love to be able to make it work 9 to 5, but that is not a fact of Realtor Life.

Fernando,  It sounds like your market has turned the corner....fantastic to hear!  My market is better, but it is not back to where it was.

Dorie,  Thank You,  I just got a call from them, we are writing an offer in the morning.

I Love the freedom of our profession, the uncertainties are tough to take, but part of the business!

Paula,  It is about balance...God first, Family, then Money!  I did get to write a contract that was eventually accepted for those folks.  We are still working on nuts and bolts...Have a Great Week!

Congrats on working a deal!  I also showed houses on Sunday afternoon, but it did not go so well.  You just never know.  I think I will have to start scheduling days off and only make an exceptions in cases like your out of town folks or when someone is very ready and serious.

Dana,  It is always a deal where I reluctantly agree to schedule Sundays.  I don't do it for looky-loos, but, if they are past clients or feel really good about them, i will do so.  We deal with a lot of Out of Town folks here...but honestly, they are usually less demanding of weekend time than locals.
