Music fans in Mableton, Georgia will be treated to a blast from the past this Friday - and a doubleheader at that!  Two rock bands will be featured at the Mable House Amphitheatre and attendees will hear both for the price of one!  Survivor and Starship will hit the stage beginning at 8 PM.  Survivor had several hits through the 1980s, including two smash themes from "Rocky" films. The group's big break came in 1982 when Sylvester Stallone commissioned them to write the theme to "Rocky III." The result was "Eye of the Tiger," an instant hit with its explosive opening riff and catchy chorus. The song spent six weeks at number one on the Billboard charts and pushed the album, of the same name, over the one million sales mark.

Mickey Thomas established himself as one of rock music's most recognizable stars. Backed by the power of Mickey's soulful vocals, Jefferson Starship scored a number one hit with "Jane." With a new song and new vocals, the group was renamed Starship and continued to record a string of hits, including "No Way Out," "We Built This City" and "Sara." The group received an Oscar nomination for the number one hit "Nothing Gonna Stop Us Now" from the movie "Mannequin." Other top hits include "Stranger" and "It's Not Over Til It's Over," which became Major League Baseball's theme in 1987.

Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Ticket prices range from $20 to $45. A table in front of the stage that seats four is available for $350. Mable House is located at 5239 Floyd Road, Mableton. For more information, visit mablehouse.org or call 800-745-3000. To order tickets, visit ticketmaster.com.
