The summer is winding down, the kids are heading back to school, and there is just enough time to squeeze in a few more fun summer activities here in Fontana!
First up, we have Sunset Concerts, which will present their final concert for the year on Thursday, Aug. 12 at the Miller Park Amphitheatre (17004 Arrow Boulevard) from 7 to 9 p.m. While the concert is free to attend, seating is limited, so remember to bring blankets and lawn chairs. The last concert will feature contemporary praise rock.
Next we have the enormously popular Dive-In Movie, which will have their last showing with the computer animated family flick “Astro Boy” on Friday, Aug. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Heritage Pool (7350 W. Liberty Parkway) and again on Saturday, Aug. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Fontana Park Aquatic Center (15556 Summit Avenue). Please call (909) 349-6900 for information and prices. Admission grants you access into the pool for swimming and opportunities to win prizes at the pre-show games and contests.
Also, we have the final Family Fun Night on Wednesday, Aug. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bill Martin Park (7881 Juniper Avenue). The theme for this evening’s Fun Night is “Be A Leader.” The Family Fun Nights feature live musical performances, dances, games, crafts, and community official meet-and-greets. Best of all, it's free to attend!
Finally, we have Music Musings on Tuesday, Aug. 10 at the Lewis Library and Technology Center. It's a free musical concert taking place in the courtyard at 5:30 p.m. The music promises to be a relaxing way to end a wonderful summer.
